Review of Linda Gerber's "Trance"

This weekend I was privileged to meet YA Author Linda Gerber at the Surrey International Writers Festival. She was lovely - even as she hacked apart the writing samples I had given her! (Just kidding! - she was really helpful).

Gerber is a prolific writer. Death by Bikini, Death by Latte and Death by Denim are just a few of her ultra-popular reads. To prepare for our meeting, I read Trance (2010). Trance is a paranormal YA novel about a teenage girl who slips into trances where she sees someone die. The problem is she doesn't know who so she is powerless to do anything.

You Will Like This Book If:

- you like books with a Paranormal slant

- you like an easy and fast paced first-person read with minimal characters

- you like books that deal with the difficult dynamics between fathers and daughters

Gerber impressed me with being so smart and creative that I am definitely going to read more of her other books.
